between the trapezes

     The moment between the trapezes.

That's what makes your acting resemble life.

In life, we have no idea what's going to happen in the next instant. To appear spontaneous.

You must learn technique, technique, and then technique to cover the technique.

Learn the scene, then you don't know what is going to happen: the lines, staging; almost like amnesia. You are in a state of disconnected from what is rehearsed. There is a sense of urgency between the two trapezes. No recall, everything is unknown after rehearsal.

In the end, it can't look like acting.
