What writers don't know.

The styles does not change for any reason.

Humorous moments in a drama, they must be tempered by the overall nature of the play.

Deciding the style is what the author want from the audience.

How does he want them to respond?

What is the main thrust of the material?

Writer gives story, character and dialogue. Actor then gives it life. Remember to not act dialogue.

Does he want the observer mostly to be moved to tears or tickled to laughter?

"In the end, it can't look like acting."
